Fantastic!
Spent the day exploring Waimea Canyon and Wailua River with Juan as our guide. Highly recommend this tour! Juan shared personal experiences growing up in Kauai and shared not just history of Kauai, but his immense pride in the Kauaian culture and lifestyle. It was a long day, but very informative and fun. Lunch at Joes on the Green was good. The entertainment on the boat tour to the Fern Grotto was great. I cannot say enough good things about the day, Juan was a fantastic guide, so if you get on his tour, count yourself lucky. The only advice I have, is dress cool and comfortable. It was hot and don't sit in the back of the bus because the air conditioning didn't work well and the cooler seats were close to the front of the bus.

I had a fantastic time on this tour and certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to see as much of the island in a short time or without renting a car. Our guide Lisa was fantastic and made a point to learn everyone’s names and where they were from. My sister and I were the only two on the tour who had flown in from another island for the day and she really made us feel welcome. She also kept checking in on us throughout the day to make sure we were doing well, which was really appreciated. Her enthusiasm was wonderful and she gave us so much information on the history of Kauai, as well as a crash course in Hawaiian pronunciations. While each stop was only for about 15 minutes, I never felt rushed or like we didn't spend enough time at a stop. The beautiful Waimea Canyon was probably the highlight for me, as it was breathtaking. I also enjoyed seeing Spouting Horn blowhole as it was really active the morning we visited. Overall our day on Kauai was outstanding, and only made more enjoyable by the wonderful Lisa!
