Refresh your Scuba Skills for a More Enjoyable Dive Adventure

Haven’t been diving lately and want a quick scuba refresher? Our refresher program is the perfect way to update your dive skills and knowledge from your Open Water Diver Course before jumping back into the water.

Our 2 tank refresher is conducted at the shore dive site in the open ocean. Our professional PADI Instructors will cover the 5 skills deemed necessary for all certified divers to be proficient at. We will go over all of the gear and how it works as well as a detailed safety briefing to help remind you of the most important protocols when diving.

Any certified diver who wants a refresher with a new certification card and pre-travel update should enroll in our ReActivate Course. Dive shops appreciate seeing a more recent ReActivate date on your certification card because it means you’re ready to dive in!

The Refresher and ReActivate dives are exactly the same. The only difference with the ReActivate is you’ll have some knowledge reviews prior to arrival as well as you will receive a new certification card stating you were “ReActivated” on the date of your dive.

Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, KDU Refresher & ReActivate is personalized for you and your skill level. It’s quick, easy and a good way to prepare for your next adventure dive with Kauai Down Under!

Now that you’re refreshed, want to add an additional PADI Certification to your credentials? Please speak with your reservations specialist for details on our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course, Enriched Air Nitrox course or one of our many PADI Specialty Certifications!

KDU Refresher Course/ReActivate is for those who have not been diving for 2 or more years. This will include 2 dives with us in the open ocean from our shore location.

Dive 1 will focus on practical application of the 5 Skills PADI deems necessary for all certified divers to be proficient at, covers all of the gear and how to properly use it and provides the detailed briefing reminding you of hand signals and diving safety protocols.

Dive 2 will be more of a fun dive putting into play all of the refreshed skills and allowing you to enjoy diving again being face to face with the marine life!

the PADI ReACTIVATE course is the exact same dives as mentioned above, however, it includes a little more in depth knowledge reviews ONLINE and after the course you will receive a NEW certification card stating that you were "ReActivated" in this year.

(This option is perfect for those who have a 10 year or older certification card as many dive centers around the world like to see that you have proof of dives more recently.) You don't have to be a PADI Certified Diver to do this ReActivate Course, all certification agencies welcome!

If you think you may have a contagious disease, protect yourself and others by NOT participating in dive training and/or dive activities. We took the refresher course because we are beginners and haven't been scuba diving in 5 years. It was perfect! We felt safe and had 2 awesome dives! Our dive master, Logan, did a great job going over everything before (both about gear and marine life), he pointed out so many fish, eels, turtles, and an octopus during the dives, and he answered our questions after. Very happy!

It has been a few years since my cert and wanted to ensure I was good to go. Logan was a great refresher and dive master. Conditions at the surface weren’t great with a bit of swell and rain, but we saw quite a bit. The Frog fish were especially cool. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend KDI or Logan again, and will be calling in the morning to schedule the zodiac trip for next week.
