Board the Reefdancer semi submarine for Maui’s “Ultimate Underwater Glass Bottom Boat Viewing Adventure and Dive Show.”

Departing from Lahaina Harbor, the Reefdancer tours the only barrier reef in Maui. You’ll have the opportunity to see various kinds of coral as well as reef fish such as the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, Hawaii’s state fish.
Once we are out to the best viewing site, you can sit in front of the big windows in our underwater viewing cabin for a close up view of the reef. This is when our divers will jump in the water and search the bottom for exotic critters they can bring right to your window–a great photo opportunity! Our experienced narrator will help you learn more about the world of Maui’s reef.

This one-hour tour of the underwater world of Maui features:
• An air conditioned underwater cabin
• Window seats for everyone
• Dive show
• Free fish chart
On the way back to the marina, guests can ride up on the top deck and get an amazing view of the beautiful West Maui Mountains from the water. In fact you can ride up top anytime you like during the trip.

Don’t miss the chance to explore Maui’s underwater world the easy way!

Are strollers allowed on the boat?

We’ll gladly watch your stroller at the harbor as the Coast Guard does not permit them on board the boat.

Is the boat accessible for wheelchairs?

The Coast Guard does not permit wheelchairs on the boat, but it’s easy to board and navigate for most people. Boarding involves just a few steps and then there are 9 steps down in the cabin. Please note it’s not a ladder, but more like regular stairs in a house, and there’s a handrail. Feel free to ask our crew for help.

Are their any rules regarding age or height?
No! This is a great activity for everybody. We once had five generations of the same family on a tour. Reduced price tickets are available for children ages 4-12 and children 3 and under can attend for free. We only allow one free Wee One ticket per adult. Please note that due to US Coast Guard rules all children are required to have a ticket, even a free Wee One ticket, so please be sure that all members of your group are accounted for.

What kind of boat is the Reefdancer?
The Reefdancer is a glass-bottom boat that can seat up to 34 passengers. Guests can sit in the underwater viewing cabin and view the barrier reef and it’s inhabitants or sit up on the top deck and enjoy the beautiful views of Maui from the water.

Reef Dancer was an amazing experience. The staff was super friendly and engaging with the kiddos. They talked about interesting facts about the animals we were seeing. We saw over a dozen turtles on our submarine ride!!!The kids absolutely enjoyed it. The diver (daughter of the boat owner) was such a doll. Thank you reef dancers for the experience.

Excellent adventure, incredibly professional and friendly staff (Lena was our guide). We booked on short notice and a few hours prior to the tour, we actually got a cancellation text because the visibility was poor that day. It was very easy to text back with Karen and reschedule for the next day (when visibility indeed was great, especially since it’s beyond their control). Our 3.5 year old loved the whole experience (we did too!) and would highly recommend this. We also found that booking directly on their website was cheaper than viator and other sites.
