We’ll bring the adventure, you bring the romance on our Napali Coast Sunset Dinner Tour. Holoholo, our stylish and steadfast cruising catamaran, is the perfect vessel on which to wine and dine you. Get up close and personal with the incredible Napali Coast. It’s good vibes only on this pleasure cruise that includes cocktails, locally-prepared appetizers, dinner and dessert, and our signature sparkling wine toast at sunset.

Once we’re on board, it’s time to slow yourself down to Hawaiian time and let the sightseeing begin. For the ride, we’ve got a nice selection of beer, seltzers, wine, and Mai Tai’s made with award-winning, locally-made, Koloa Rum, for you to enjoy. Our entertaining crew will share history and legends of the island as we journey to our destination, Napali.

This relaxed trip is a photographer’s dream, with endlessly amazing photo opportunities courtesy of the Napali Coast’s breathtaking wildlife, pinnacles, cliffs, waterfalls, caves, and arches. The golden afternoon sunlight is perfect to capture the depth and magnitude of this special place. This is definitely the time to get your new profile pic or your family’s next holiday card photo!

Holo Holo Charters offers one of the only Ocean Friendly Restaurants (certified by Surfrider Foundation) on the water, enjoy a unique dining experience aboard our sunset dinner tour. Why stay home or sit in a boring restaurant when you can stretch out in the fresh air and enjoy the afternoon on the water, on our intimate and delicious sunset dinner cruise?

Our custom, Kauai-built vessel, Holoholo, is one of the fastest charter boats on the coast, giving us a lot of freedom to explore the island and the many waterfalls, sea caves, rainbows, dolphins, whales, turtles, native sea birds, and more that we encounter on a daily basis. Complete with two restrooms on deck and plenty of bench seating, this vessel has all you need for an easy day on the water.

After we soak up as much of the Napali Coast as we can, our crew will set up dinner for you as we casually make our way back to port. Our locally-made dinner is proudly prepared by Holo Holo Charter’s caterers, Rose N Bros, a family-owned operation out of Hanapepe. Our menu is complete with some of our favorite local dishes, which we hope will become your new favorites too!

Here at Holo Holo Charters, we’re always looking for ways to improve our boats and thus, improve our Kauai boat tours. In 2020, while COVID-19 paused our daily operations, our shop and maintenance department reimagined and rebuilt Holoholo’s food and beverage service area. With a completely new bar including a new countertop, beverage coolers, and upgraded water filtration, as well as comfortable new seating and table layout in the cabin, we’re able to serve you more efficiently and safely than ever.

At sunset, we’ll pause to enjoy the last moments of the day, complete with a sparkling wine toast. Grab your cameras so the crew can capture you and your favorite people with a colorful backdrop of the ocean as we look for the elusive green flash, at the moment the sun disappears into the ocean.

Treat yourself and your loved ones to an unforgettable afternoon experience on our Napali sunset dinner cruise. Travel on Holoholo, in style and comfort, and let us show you just how spectacular dinner on Kauai can be!

Holoholo, our flagship, 65-foot power catamaran, is the ideal vessel for a Kauai dinner tour because she’s very stable on the water. As you can see in the pictures, she’s got a low center of gravity and therefore she offers more pitch-damping than some of the more top-heavy, double-decker boats that you may see. We won’t get too far into flight dynamics, but the point is that you’re going to be comfortable and you’re going to have less chance of losing your footing or spilling your wine—so we consider it an overall win-win!

Boat Details

Holo Holo is Kauai’s fastest tour vessel. At 65′, this agile power cat is long and wide enough to give you a swift, adventurous ride even at her top speeds. She’ll get you to the Napali Coast or Niihau faster than anyone else! She can carry 65, but we keep the numbers to 49 or less, which means more room to sightsee, snorkel, relax, and enjoy all that Kauai has to offer. Built with safety and comfort in mind, Holo Holo’s design is wide enough to eliminate any long, side-to-side rolling motion, and the hulls are narrow to slice easily through the water, resulting in a smooth ride. And Holo Holo was designed and built specifically to handle the channel waters that separate the islands. With twin 450 hp turbo diesel engines for propulsion, we get you to the beautiful sights of Napali and Niihau faster than any other vessel. – Learn more.

Above and beyond

What a fabulous time we had with Captain Dave and the crew! We started off in an absolute downpour but as soon as we were out of the port, the skies cleared and we had a wonderful time. The Crew (Jackie and a wonderful guy who I feel terrible that I can't tell you his name) took care of us from the second we boarded through the entire trip. They helped us navigate the boat, served drinks and food, talked about the history of the land and truly made the tour! There are lots of groups that offer charters but this experience was above and beyond fun!

Great crew!

The crew was so friendly and helpful. This is not a smooth sailing dinner cruise. The catamaran goes very fast on the way to the Na Pali coast and back. It bounces a lot and lots of water splashes all over the deck and everyone outside gets wet. It was overcast and cool when we went so plan to bring a jacket (waterproof if you have one). The food was remarkably good for this type of cruise, with chicken and pork, salad and rice. The view of the Na Pali coast from the water is spectacular! Enjoyed it very much!
