After a nonstop six- to eight-week and 6,000-mile migration from Alaska, approximately 12,000 North Pacific humpbacks arrive in the Hawaiian Islands every year around mid-December for a season of mating, birthing, and nurturing their newborn calves.

This tour has a weight limit of 275 lbs. Those with back problems or weakness should not participate in this tour. Whale migration is seasonal and tours only operate during the winter months. Hilo is exposed to the windward shore. Please be prepared for possible rough seas and rain. Seasickness medication is recommended for those unaccustomed to the open ocean. Children under 5 years are not permitted.

Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather, should a tour fail to reach our minimum capacity (3) or other unforeseen circumstances. In all cases, we will do our best to offer alternative dates for your tour. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
