Honolua Bay snorkel trip

Very nice catamaran, friendly and knowledgeable all female crew.
We really enjoyed the sail up the West Maui coast from Lahaina to secluded Honolua Bay. Great snorkling, we even saw a giant Sea Turtle munching on the reef.
After the second snorkle at another site near Kaanapali, we enjoyed a lovely sail (wind power only) most of the way back to Lahaina.
Kids were free - great value for money and definitely one of the highlights of our holiday on Maui.

A great trip!

Pacific Whale Foundation – We headed to the check in spot at Slip 4 of the Lahaina Harbor and were greeted by Debbie and were given our instructions for boarding. We took the Honolua Bay snorkel trip with Capt Mosher, along with mates Desmond and Mikala aboard the vessel Ocean Spirit. The vessel was clean as a pin from stem to stern. A pleasant breakfast buffet was waiting for us once we boarded and we powered up the channel to Honolua Bay. As we were nearing the Kahana/Napili area the boat came to a sudden stop. We were completely surrounded by a pod of Spinner Dolphins. They raced back and forth and thrilled us with their leaps and spins. After a while we pushed forward to our destination. We were the first boat present and managed to see much of the bay before the other boats began to arrive. We were greeted by abundant reefs and colorful fish and, of course, Mr Honu, the sea turtle and his family. After reboarding the craft we motored off to the Cliff House (right off the Montage) and frolicked in the water for a spell before heading back to the boat and being greeted by the sights and smells of the BBQ lunch being prepared. After chowing down this fabulous lunch we set sail for Lahaina.
What a lovely way to view the coastline of Maui. I’d do this trip in a heartbeat.
