You are invited to experience our renowned Circle Island Tour and enjoy over 10 hours of adventuring to the island’s majestic and less traveled attractions, all while capturing the epic beauty of Oahu through photography. We’ve curated a genuinely memorable tour of Hawaii with a selection of sight locations to serve as the top photography content of Hawaii. We don’t like to brag, but there’s a reason why our Circle Island Tour is the most popular among creatives and adventurers alike: there are no other tours that will guide you through such an abundance of breathtaking views in the style we do. This tour is part of your top must-do things in Honolulu. Capture great content, have fun with your camera or smartphone, and enjoy it all in the company of loved ones and new friends you make on tour! Plus, the photos your guide will take of you will blow your friends away when you post them.
You begin the day on the East side of Oahu at the stunning location of Sandy Beach. Arriving in time to catch the sunrise of Oahu, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph the drama of daylight as it casts away the night. This opportunity to watch the sunrise is an excellent experience during your vacation.
Next, we’ll continue along the scenic Kaiwi shoreline, stopping at Makapu’u Lookout, where you can play with your photography to capture spectacular landscapes. You will be shown the best spots to snap photos of the Windward side of Oahu. You’ll even have the chance to capture the famous Makapu’u lighthouse, an essential image of any Oahu Photo Tour!
The next stop is on the Windward coast at the magnificent Ko’olau Mountains. To stand in the presence of these ancient formations creates an energy of pure appreciation. Experience the atmosphere and capture the memory through gorgeous photographs before heading off to the Kalapawai Market for a tasty breakfast. This market has been a part of Hawaiian life since 1932 and offers a wide selection of food and drink that will melt your taste buds!
After recharging with a satisfying breakfast, your Hawaii tour will head over to a lookout of Kaneohe Bay to soak in the view of crystal clear waters. This site is one of the must-do activities in Oahu because it’s one of the most massive sandbars in the world! Knock that off your Hawaii tour bucket list!
Cruising over to the Byodo-In Temple brings the focus onto architectural design and themes of spiritual mindfulness and the esoteric. Your guide will capture an epic photo of you on the bridge walking to the temple. The Byodo-In Temple is a non-denominational shrine located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii in the Valley of the Temples. Make sure to ask your guide to feed the koi in the waters of the temple.
Your Circle Island Sunrise tour continues to pass through Waiahole before stopping at Kualoa Beach Park to see the small island officially named Mokoli’i, but more commonly known as The Chinaman’s Hat of Hawaii. You’ll then head to the Windward coast to view the country scenery, local and colorful fruit stands, and a stunning 150-year-old Banyan tree (seen in many films including Lost and Jumanji) as we make our way to the famous North Shore.
Depending on the time of year, you’ll witness the world-famous Banzai Pipeline, and the daredevil surfers who test the power unleashed through oceanic waves, or you’ll search for the beloved Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle who basks on white sandy beaches. If you’re lucky, you might get both!
Our final stop is at the Dole Plantation. Here you’ll get to taste the favorite pineapple sorbet and photograph Rainbow Eucalyptus trees. Answer a trivia question correctly, and your guide will treat you to a free Dole Whip!
At the end of your curated photography tour of Oahu, your fun-filled day will leave you with an array of quality photographs. Most importantly, you’ll have preserved the memories you’ve made to last a lifetime on the best Hawaii tour in the islands! You owe it to yourself to experience this fantastic opportunity. We pick you up at your hotel in Waikiki. If your hotel is outside of Waikiki, which is from the Ala Moana Hotel to the end of Kalakaua, we ask you to make your way to the paid parking area of the Honolulu Zoo. Sunrise and Complete Island Tours pick you up one hour prior to sunrise. The Sunset tour picks you up four hours prior to sunset. Full Moon is one hour prior to moonrise.
If your hotel’s zip code is not 96815, then you need to go to the Honolulu Zoo parking area for pick-up. We do not pick up anywhere outside the Waikiki area. This includes the Kahala Hotel, Moana Valley Inn, the Ymca, Kailua, Pearl City, North Shore, Ko’Olina, the west side, east side, leeward side, Hawaii Kai, and all military bases. The Waikiki area holds most of the hotels on the island. Please check with your hotel as to where it is located. We ask that you make your way to the Honolulu Zoo for pick-up. Please contact us if you are not sure where your hotel is located on the island.
No! You do not need to have any experience in photography to join any of our tours. We know that sometimes people feel that they cannot take photos, but let us show you that you can.
With each photography tour, you are provided a tripod to help you capture clear and crisp photos of everything and anything. We have rain gear for everyone on board. If we happen to be out when it starts to rain, we got you covered, literally. Also with every tour, we bring along information books about the island.
Yes! Bring your camera. Bring whatever it is that you take pictures with. Our Oahu photo tours are not just for those who have decided to invest hundreds of dollars into their camera equipment. We don’t care if you take pictures with an iPad or a Polaroid. As long as you bring something to capture the beauty with you, you’ll be fine.
We do not have access for physically disabled people. Again, call us and let us know your concerns and we will be happy to help.
To receive a full refund you must contact us directly prior to 48 hours of your tour. Any time after that no refund will be given. Refunds may take up to two weeks to refund the balance.
You must reschedule your tour before 48 hours of the start time of your tour. Anytime after that a $25 per person + tax fee will be applied. Once you reschedule, you will not be eligible for any refund if you decide to cancel.
Yes, we will stop to grab something small to eat during the tour (not included in the tour price). We recommend you bring cash for some places that do not accept credit cards.
The weather in Hawaii is, for the most part, beautiful, but sometimes we can get a little rain. The tours always go out when the forecast is calling for scattered showers. This great chance to capture unique photographs, possibly rainbows, and waterfalls off the Ko’olau cliffs. On rare occasions, we have flash flood warnings and lightning. If this occurs we still go head with the tour. After all, this is a photography tour and bad weather presents great possibilities for amazing photographs. However, if the weather continues with unsafe conditions, then the tour will be canceled and you will have the option of rescheduling or receiving a 75% refund. The call to cancel will be one hour after pick-up.
Wonderful day of traveling the island of Oahu with good people and a great host. Got some great pictures and learned something about photography even though I only had my android. I toured with Mac who was very knowledgeable about the island.
This tour is a great way to see a good number of the most picturesque places on O'ahu -- elevated vista points, sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, beautiful sunrise, surfer hotspots, and off-the-beaten-path gems. Alex was a great guide -- easy to hang with and talk to, plus a wealth of island (and camera) knowledge. This makes for a perfect day tour activity.
