The manta ray night dive and snorkel is an exhilarating experience that is unique to the Kona Coast and one of the top night dives and snorkels in the world. You will board the Honu One at the Honokohau Harbor and cruise north along the coast up to Garden Eel Cove in Makako Bay. Depending upon the charter you chose you many enjoy a late afternoon dive or snorkel before sunset. Everyone will get to enjoy a Kona sunset before having an educational briefing on the manta rays. After nightfall, you will enter the water in the hopes to see these gentle giants perform their graceful underwater ballet. Your water time will be 60 minutes. We see these magnificent creatures 80% of the time.

Free Manta Guarantee
Please note that the Manta Rays are wild animals and we cannot guarantee their presence. If you do not see a manta on your night out, you can go again on another night on a space available standby basis. Keep in mind that standby spaces may be extremely limited, especially during the busiest times of the year. This offer never expires, but is nontransferable and has no refund or cash value. We are typically very successful in finding mantas for you; however, if they are not around, the costs involved with setting up the dive and getting all our guests to the location will not allow for us to offer you a refund.

Cancellation Policy
Please be informed of our 48-hour cancellation policy.

You may make changes or cancellations to your reservations up to 48 hours prior to the trip without penalty. Afterwards, all changes, cancellations, or no-shows will not be issued a refund unless the space is filled by another diver. If we are able to fill the space a full refund will be issued. If we are unable to fill the space we cannot issue a refund. The only exception to this policy will be if we receive a medical note from a local doctor for a treatment/exam which must have taken place within 48 hours of the check-in time of the missed dive. This does not waive the companion diver or snorkeler.

These guys are The Bomb!

A magical experience for us as we were originally on the island to fish Blue Marlin with our friends at Grander Marlin. There were 5 of us guys... all experienced divers and we were recommended by another dive shop to this tour. I thought wow...these guys must be amazing for a competitive dive shop to recommend them since all we needed was the 1-tank Manta Dive being hammered from fishing all day. We met Ali and she was more than accommodating to our group as she was not only professional, friendly and funny...but she spent the time to look up all of our dive cards, spec-out the perfect gear for each of us and tailor the experience to be exactly what we were looking for. We dove with Sandy who was equally as amazing as she taught us more about that piece of the ocean than we could have ever learned studying out of a book. She was friendly, funny and a very "cool head" to dive with and a fellow Metallica fan! It was not the best night for Mantas, as we only saw one...but she came into the lighted campfire 5 times eating plankton and performing countless barrel rolls for us. They saw 16 different mantas the night before, so I guess it was just our lame timing to only see one. We are grateful as they told us the "successful sighting rate' was approx. 80% of the time, but the experience was made up of not only seeing Mantas, but the Kona sunset from the boat, the atmosphere, the ocean and the dive crew. You won't find a better dive company, as I have over 1,000 dives under my belt from all around the world...and Kona Honu is at the top of the list. We are going back again in August again to take my wife on the same dive, as she was extremely envious that she wasn't invited to go on our Guys fishing trip and first Manta dive!!
